I had deluded myself into thinking this would be the easiest page to draw so far. It was the hardest.

I have just finished reading the entire comic content thus far, and I' am intrigued. I love the style of line you use: bold and gritty, makes for a good 'thriller' mood. I can't wait to see how this all turns out.

GUH, you have no idea how happy I am to hear the word "gritty" (or grungy or w/e) out of anyone when they describe my comic. I am delighted by it. Because that's totally what I'm going for. Thank you for your kind words, dude. Enjoy the ride!

I just got some borderlands vibes from this scene. (100% a good thing) Poet's reaction is hilariously wonderful. (I'd do the same tbh)

Oh man, yeah. Cuz of all the recordings and shit in that game. Dudebro, Borderlands and Jak and Daxter inspired a TON of the shit in this comic, so you'll likely make those parallels again and again as it goes on >w<

Ya know, bicycle boy started out mysterious, then became mysterious when he met the other people, and has suddenly become much more mysterious. I have to hand it to you, it has me hooked and this is probably my favorite webcomic.

Also, comic maker to comic maker, what was so difficult about this page if you don't mind me asking? I would assume that it would be using poets reactions to keep the page visually interesting and to keep the story moving. Maybe the consistency required for each panel?

Wow, what do I even say to that? Thank you, dude. That's--really awesome. Sounds like my story is coming across just as it should so far.

Oh, gladly. I'd decided a while ago that I wanted all the panels on this page to use the same shape and camera angle, as so to gauge Poet's reactions to the recording properly. It started to drive me crazy as soon as I got to the second panel, because I hadn't realized until then that--just as you said--it would be tougher than I thought to keep his proportions/face shape/expressions totally consistent.

And even when the drawing part of the process was said and done, I fiddled with the placement/shape/color of the dialogue balloons for hours trying to figure out what would look best. And I won't even go into how many times I rewrote the dialogue itself.

BUT IT WAS PROBABLY WORTH IT. I'll probably think twice before I make a page with all the same shape panels again, though.

Yeah it's funny how sometimes the pages that seem simple can be the most time consuming. I'm actually planning on drawing a similar page tonight and already kinda dreading it. Mine's a dialogue between two characters though, so I'll probably get a little bit of slack since I'll be changing characters for each panel.

I don't remember which issue it was, but I was inspired to do it in that style by page out of the new hawkeye comic. David Aja is a master at making this type of layout interesting

No kidding, hey? I finished a page just recently that only had 3 panels with very minimal background, and I thought it'd be pretty easy. Wrong again...

You'll be able to pull it off, dude. AH BELIEVE. Your comic is great, by the way. I just caught up on it the other day. :)

Yeah, Some guys rigged up a van into a mobile torture chamber and took turns. They recorded it so they could listen to it over again to recreate the experience.

You think TV and movies desensitize you to violence and then something like that comes around...

Tsk, yeah. It's always worse in real life.
